Best Doctor Ever!! Dr. Setzen has been caring for me and my family for about 20 years. He is an extraordinarily skilled surgeon. Among other sinus related surgeries, Dr. Setzen reconstructed my nose after a bad skiing accident. His care of the tissue and surrounding area during the surgery left me with very little bruising and swelling. The recovery was a breeze. He also placed ear tubes in my toddler - twice!! Most importantly, after being caught in the collapse of the twin towers, Dr. Setzen organized a team of physicians to administer my care. He is one in a million, and I am so grateful to be under his care.

Deformed / Crooked Nose, Flattened Nose, Deviated Septum Doctor Setzen did a phenomenal job fixing my nose. Every doctor turned me down because the procedure was too difficult until we made an appointment with Doctor Setzen. I was unable to breathe comfortably out of my nose for 8 years and doctor Setzen changed that. I'd recommend him for any nose surgery because he is terrific at what he does.

Deviated Septum I first saw Dr. Setzen regarding my deviated septum approximately 4 years ago. After my first consultation, I was very skeptical and decided to put off the surgery. It came to a point where I was unable to sleep at night because of severe breathing problems I was having through my nose. I decided to move forward with the procedure. I am happy to report that this surgery has changed my life. I no longer have trouble sleeping at night, have a much easier time exercising on the treadmill, and I no longer get headaches. I would highly recommend Dr. Setzen and his staff to complete this procedure for you if you suffer from the same symptoms that I did.

Surgery When Dr. Setzen told me about the surgery he recommended I have, I was not very comfortable with it. He assured me it was a process, but now I no longer sleep with an apnea machine, and I am able to drive without nearly falling asleep behind the wheel! It was a painful process, but worth it beyond my imagination. I can't thank him enough for what he has done for my life!

Septum and Sinus repair, uvula and soft palate surgery Over the past few years I saw several doctors. None of whom took time listen to what I had to say. They just made their diagnosis without truly listening to my explanation of my symptoms. They were all just treating the symptoms instead of trying to find the underlying reason. Every one of them totally missed the root cause of my condition. Dr. Setzen, arguably the best doctor that I have ever met, spent the time with me and listened to my complaints and concerns. He was thorough in his examination and explained his findings and diagnosis. His root cause analysis explanation was on point. I did not hesitate in my choice for surgery. He made sure that I was comfortable with my choice. After the surgery, he followed up promptly himself and made sure that I was recovering well. The caring, kindness, and thoughtfulness, did not only come from him, it permeated through all of his staff. They made the experience less stressful and they all made sure that I as comfortable before, during and after the entire process. I have not hesitated in recommending him, his practice, or the surgery.

The right choice In general I'm afraid of Doctors. I'm not the sort of person who would normally volunteer to get cut, except breathing is such a high priority. Dr. Setzen has such a terrific bedside manner & has the knowledge, the skills, & the experience, that he was able to alleviate my apprehension about undergoing surgery. About 10 years ago, he performed surgery removing nasal polyps & correcting my deviated septum. Since then, I've been seeing him 4 times a year for about 5-10 minutes each time for some simple maintenance (cleaning nasal passages). The results have been remarkable and I'm happy to recommend him without hesitation.

I liked Dr. Setzen from the first time I met him. He was on time and spent a lot of time during my first consultation explaining to me what my issues were. He did surgery on my sinuses, my deviated septum and removed the bump on my nose. I am very pleased with the way it turned out. The first couple of days after my surgery were a little uncomfortable, but after that I was fine. I would highly recommend Dr. Setzen. He was prompt, he had an excellent bed-side manner and he did a great job.
